DAT Truckload Volume Index remains on strong growth path

November’s TVI reading—at 239—matched October, which initially set a new record for the number of loads moved by motor carriers in a month, according to DAT. Trailers—at 99,048—were down 5.4% annually, much improved over October’s 14.3% decrease, and domestic containers—at 681,400—fell 0.5%. All domestic equipment, which includes trailers and domestic containers—at 780,448—decreased 1.2%. 2021 week 50 on-time delivery performance data is solid, reports ShipMatrix

Total November U.S.-bound containerized freight imports—at 2,854,305 TEU (Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units)—were down 4.7% compared to October’s record 2,995,176 TEU and up 6.3% annually. And through the first 11 months of 2021, imports are up 19.6% annually, to 31,699,365 TEU. November shipments—at 1,333,314—were down 5.8% compared to October’s 1,415,250 and up 13.6% annually. DHL Supply Chain and Emerge announce spot market-focused partnership

DHL Supply Chain, a subsidiary of Deutsche Post DHL Group, said it has established a partnership with Emerge, a provider of its proprietary Digital Freight Marketplace (DFM) and TMS focused on accelerating productivity and increasing visibility for supply chain stakeholders and freight procurement.
